Think Tank - Open Cloud Workshop - part 1

Think Tank - Open Cloud Workshop

Cloud Computing is the 'Next Big Thing' in IT. If Open Source has enabled giants like Google and Amazon to emerge, interoperability is a key battlefield for many new entrants. What does the range of possible options look like? What roles might interoperability and/or Open Source play? Shape the future of IT!

October 1, 2010, from 11:00 AM to 04:00 PM - Register >

Following the September 30th Open Cloud Main Conference, on 1 October, we will bring speakers into a think-tank environment, where each will have to physically draw up a diagram of their Cloud offerings while describing it, detailing which parts are Open Sourced and which are not, and describing what are their interoperability points. This will open up to a discussion with the public on how to benefit from the various offerings and improve the current state of interoperability.

Are APIs, image fand storage formats, languages, export tools and messaging formats the key to the Open Cloud? We should certainly have a better idea of this at the end of these two days.

Conference leaders: Nicolas Barcet, Cloud Solutions Lead, Canonical, and David Sapiro, CEO, Pilot Systems
